What is RIDE-LINK
Not only carpooling but a service to help match you with convenient transit services.
RIDE-LINK services are FREE. To start your carpool call 233-POOL, or sign up on-line.
RIDE-LINK serves the Southeast Idaho area. You can be matched with persons working near you or even from your own worksite.
Sharing a ride with just one other person cuts your commuting costs in half. Adding more riders increases your savings even further. Save money on gas, insurance and maintenance. Extend the life of your car. One third of all private auto mileage is racked up commuting to and from work. One third of vehicle miles traveled are for trips less than one mile.
It’s Flexible. You don’t have to carpool every day. One or two days a week can help.
You can save money. Sharing the ride means sharing the expense of gas, parking, and wear and tear on your car. By choosing to use an alternate mode of transportation one day a week (carpooling, taking the bus, bicycling or walking) you are doing your part for cleaner air.
It’s good for the environment. Fewer cars on the road means less pollution. We’re not just for car-poolers. RIDE-LINK encourages a variety of alternative commute modes including transit, bicycling and walking.
